Sound is only as good as the equipment it is recorded with. At Blue Planet Sound we use the same top quality equipment used in all of the major studios in the world.
There are several things to consider when choosing the right studio for you and your project. One of the primary considerations is the quality of sound. Naturally, you can expect to find state of the art digital audio hardware and software, typical of any modern facility. Additionally, you can utilize our vintage analog gear to provide that time-tested warmth and color of your performance before it’s translated into the digital world. At Blue Planet Sound, you have the ability to create and produce utilizing the best of both analog and digital worlds.
A few years of recording experience is insufficient to be a top engineer or producer. Blue Planet Sound’s engineers and producers have a wealth of experience in a variety of studios, encompassing all audio applications.

Client Manager & House Engineer
Lindley or “Cannon” as we call him is a “Big Gun” engineer who gave up the Desert to join us in the Jungle. He aimed his sights high and graduated at the top of his class from (CRAS) The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Arizona.
Cannon grew up with a critical ear for sound and music. He has always had an interest in all things audio. Besides being an emphatic perfectionist with audio, he comes with over seven years of customer service experience.
We are very fortunate to have his fresh perspective and his mad skills.

Jon is an excellent fit for our team. When he is not busy helping our clients get the perfect sound, he is our resident Senior Technician keeping all the equipment running smoothly. This gives him the dual advantage being able to serve the clients audio needs artistically as well as utilizing the all the technical aspects of the gear. A graduate of the Musical Engineering Technology program at Ball State University, Jon has over 20 years of experience working in the music, audio, video production, sound design, and sound reinforcement industries. He has an ear for detail and is an integral part of our team.

Director
Beside spending money he doesn’t have – to build a business more difficult to keep afloat than a restaurant – in one of the worst economies ever – he is completely sane. Scott has been figuring out how to record audio since 1979 when he would bounce one instrument at a time from one cassette tape deck to the other in order to build a poor-mans multitrack recording. His vast experience as an independent audio engineer in LA gave him a taste of what every top-notch facility had to offer. A combination of his experience with deconstruction/construction of recording studios, plus a ton of reading/studying acoustic designs from the likes of Tom Hidley, has given him the wild audacity to design and build this beautifully sounding place on his own.
Daring, creative, and willing to bend over backwards to accommodate the clients needs, Scott leads the team in over-delivery.
